We are delighted to announce that AS SAMI Production has been selected as Valgamaa Large Enterprise of the Year 2025. This is a significant recognition that belongs to all of us – to every employee whose daily contribution, skills, and dedication have made SAMI a strong and trustworthy company both in Valgamaa and across Estonia.
The “Valgamaa Entrepreneurship Awards” competition
Organised by the Valgamaa Development Agency, this competition has been held since 2008. Its purpose is to recognise companies that, through their work and example, have contributed to the development of the county.
This year, 39 proposals were submitted to the competition, demonstrating that the business environment in Valgamaa is strong and diverse.
Nominees for Large Enterprise of the Year 2025
In the “Large Enterprise of the Year” category, manufacturing companies employing more than 50 people and operating for over three years are evaluated. This year’s nominees were:

Being shortlisted among the nominees was already a great honour, but winning is an even more significant indication that our work is highly valued.
Why was SAMI awarded this recognition?

SAMI employs 123 people, providing a stable and secure working environment.
We have implemented an investment of approximately €8 million in the construction of a new factory.
We have modernised production, improved processes, and introduced new technologies.
We have demonstrated a clear commitment and capability to contribute to the development of entrepreneurship in Valga County.
